This June 1998 DC issue delivers a gloriously shameless riff on a certain famous shark-movie poster — Brain's enormous open mouth looms beneath the waterline in classic predator-rising fashion, while tiny Pinky splashes about obliviously on the surface far above. Walter Carzon's cover pencils and Rubén Torreiro's inks milk every drop of the parody with surprisingly elegant underwater coloring that sells the gag beautifully. The interior story, "Brine-Monkeys," promises more aquatic scheming from the lab's most ambitious rodents, all for a cover price of just $1.95.
