Pam inherits a shop in a smart London street. Her fiance wants her to sell the shop so they can get married sooner, but her grandmother thinks she should keep the shop. Pam agrees with her grandmother and they travel together to London. The shop is badly run down and Pam has to work other jobs to make the repairs needed to open the shop. Meanwhile, her fiance back home has married someone else. When Pam's shop opens, it is successful until a charming, handsome man opens a rival boutique round the corner.
