In "Duell auf dem Sklavenschiff," the Phantom and Nuran set out on a journey to Bengali—only for the Phantom to be forcibly conscripted into the English navy and assigned to the very same ship he was meant to board as a passenger. There, he confronts Captain Lexter and his brutal lieutenant McDuff, who mistreat Nuran, attempt to kill the Phantom, and murder a young cadet to silence any evidence of forced recruitment.
