Peter and Beetle attempt to return to their village with wild blackberries but are ambushed by goblins in a hollow hill who set them upon by a torch-wielding goblin and attempt to block their escape route. They fight back, and Beetle throws wild berries at the goblins to slow them down, destroying most of the berry supply in the process. Fortunately, Blue Jay arrives with a wagon full of blackberries picked from a vine, allowing the village to hold their feast and share plenty of berries for all.
