Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham #5
In "The Old Goats at Home," Peter Porker, the Spectacular Spider-Ham, faces a new kind of challenge when the Senior Simians pull off a bank heist—just as he’s too late to stop them. With Jonah the journalist sidelined after being fired by the new, oddly friendly editor Charles Foster Pupp, his missteps lead him straight to the simian gang’s hideout, setting up a surprising turn involving Charles Foster Mutt and J. Joanna Jackal that leaves the Daily Beagle’s future uncertain. Written by Steve Skeates and brought to life by Mark Armstrong’s art, Joe Albelo’s inks, Steve Mellor’s colors, and Janice Chiang’s letters, this 1986 issue delivers a quirky, high-stakes adventure with a twist that lingers long after the final panel. The cover, penciled by Armstrong and inked by Albelo, captures the chaos perfectly.
