Even the wall-crawler needs a vacation — or so it seems from this wonderfully playful cover by Philip Tan, which shows a tiny Spider-Man perched atop a massive sand sculpture of the Sandman, complete with oversized shades and a camo shirt, as our hero relaxes under a beach umbrella with what looks like an ice cream cone. It's a deceptively breezy image for an issue kicking off "Spider-Geddon Part 1," with Sean Ryan writing and Juan Frigeri on art. A fun contrast of summer-weekend calm and looming villain energy that makes this 2018 installment genuinely hard to put down unread.
