The Shield battles the Hangman, a Nazi-aligned villain, in an aerial confrontation where the Hangman threatens to hang Captain Swastika with a noose as the symbol of his fate. In a separate story, the Archies attempt to retrieve stolen items from gangsters who have hidden them in an ancient house, discovering the loot belonged to Lank Knox and involves a wild goose chase through various locations. The Riverdale Four band performs at a theater, where Reggie complains about dancing to Archie's music and Mr. Larken announces that Benny King and his band will not appear due to circumstances beyond control, but promises the audience entertainment from the River Four instead.
