A bowling alley sets the scene on this cheerful 1982 entry in the long-running Pep series, with Archie cozying up to Veronica under the pretense of demonstrating a "good, firm grip" on her bowling ball — while a grinning Jughead and Dilton look on from the scoring table, clearly in on the joke. Reggie hoists his own ball nearby, and the whole Riverdale gang peeks out from the masthead above. Stan Goldberg's cover art captures the lighthearted, good-natured humor that makes these characters so endlessly entertaining, and Frank Doyle's interior story "The Knit Pickers" promises more of the same fun within.
