The gang's all here for a costume party gone hilariously sideways — Jughead shows up wearing his crown and everyday clothes, prompting Veronica to scold him for not looking weird enough, while a bystander delivers the perfect punchline: he came as himself. Dan DeCarlo's cover art captures the colorful chaos of the festivities, with punk-styled partygoers dancing in the background and a be-sunglassed Cheryl stealing the foreground in oversized novelty shades. Pep #336 is a bright, fun slice of 1978 Riverdale at its most cheerfully absurd.
