A sun-soaked boardwalk sets the stage for this November 1975 issue of Pep, where a redheaded young woman on a bicycle cheekily asks Betty about her "handsome boyfriend" — prompting a flustered Betty to snap back, "Let's leave it that way, please!" Standing nearby, Archie looks on with his usual good-natured obliviousness, while a fun beach crowd decorates the masthead above. It's a perfectly breezy slice of Riverdale social comedy, with Harry Lucey's clean, expressive linework (and lettering by Bill Yoshida) making every awkward moment feel warmly familiar.
