Pep #301

Poor Reggie — the cover of Pep #301 finds him at a table in the Delta Phi Gamma fraternity house, hammer in hand, dramatically reacting to what appears to be a shattered pocket mirror and broken comb, the "roughest initiation" his club ever dreamed up. In the doorway, Archie looks on in amusement while Betty and Veronica peer in from outside with amused expressions, and the full Riverdale gang crowds the top of the cover in true 1975 style. Dan DeCarlo and Rudy Lapick deliver the gang's signature breezy charm, making this a thoroughly fun snapshot of Archie humor at its most gleefully cruel to Reggie's vanity.
