Pep #230
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freePep #230 brings some flower-power fun to the Riverdale gang in June 1969, with a cover gag that plays out in two hilarious panels. In the upper scene, Veronica crouches beside a red sports car, gleefully pressing vinyl flower stickers onto it while Archie and Reggie look on — her speech bubble cheerfully declares the stickers should go "where you spend a lot of time!" The punchline lands in the lower panel, where Archie is busily plastering those same flowers all over the Detention Room door, a box of vinyl flowers at his side — a perfectly timed bit of visual comedy that captures everything lovably mischievous about this era of Archie comics.
