Summer beach chaos is on full display in this 1969 Archie Series entry, where the cover says it all: Reggie is "always hanging ten" while a very unfortunate Archie is "hanging for dear life" — sent airborne on a red-and-white surfboard by a crashing wave as Betty and Veronica pilot a speedboat through the surf, completely unbothered. The gang is all here, with the whole Riverdale crew lounging along the top banner watching the aquatic mayhem unfold below them. It's a perfectly cheerful slice of late-'60s beach comedy that makes Pep #221 an easy, breezy addition to any Archie collection.
