Penguin: Pain & Prejudice #5

The five-issue miniseries reaches its finale with a cover by Szymon Kudranski that says everything about the stakes: a composed, cigarette-smoking Penguin stands in the foreground clutching a remote control device, while an enormous, red-eyed armored Batman looms ominously behind him — flanked by mechanical claws bristling with more glowing red lights. The tagline "END GAME!" makes clear that Oswald Cobblepot has been building toward something, and this closing chapter of Gregg Hurwitz and Kudranski's 2012 character study looks like a deeply personal reckoning between villain and Dark Knight.
