The five-issue limited series spinning out of Civil War reaches its conclusion with this striking finale. Paul Gulacy's cover is dominated by the massive, spike-studded helmet of Penance looming over the composition, while two armored figures square off at its base in a burst of crackling energy — the scale contrast alone makes for a genuinely arresting image. Rain Beredo's deep blues and electric highlights give the whole scene a charged, urgent atmosphere that feels like a fitting cap to this dark corner of the Marvel universe.
