# Patches #1 Synopsis This anthology comic contains at least two stories featuring the character Patches. In one story, Patches and his friends Bill, Jimmy, Fatso, and Squinty must warn a tiger-lion hybrid that has escaped from the zoo, using a bonfire to frighten the dangerous beast back into its cage and earning commendation as the "Secret Seven." In another story, Patches encounters a hermit living in the mountains who has been isolated for years; the hermit agrees to guide the lost boy back to town on the condition that Patches keeps his existence secret, and Patches eventually returns safely to his anxious grandmother.
