Pat Sullivan's Felix the Cat #72
In "Hammock Havoc," the ever-resourceful Felix the Cat finds himself trapped in Dreamland after a surplus of Magic Sleeping Water leaves him immune to the King’s latest expulsion scheme. When the Dreamland army charges, Felix grabs a horse from the stables—only to discover it’s a night-mare that spirals into a dragon, an octopus, a shark, and a bizarre, elongated sea monster before he can escape. After narrowly surviving the transformation, he stumbles into the mysterious and unsettling Nightmare Land. Written by Otto Messmer and Joe Oriolo, with art and inks by Joe Oriolo, and featuring cover art by Joe Oriolo, this 1956 Harvey Comics classic delivers surreal chaos with a signature whimsy.

The King of Dreamland tries various ways to expel Felix from Dreamland but, thanks to his huge last dose of "Magic Sleeping Water", the cat remains firmly put. When the entire Dreamland army charges against Felix, he hopes to get away on a horse from the Dreamland Stables. Unfortunately, the horse he chooses is a "night-mare" which carries him into the air and, in rapid succession, turns into a dragon, an octopus, a shark, and a description-defying elongated sea monster. After finally escaping, Felix accidently wanders into the sector of Dreamland called "Nightmare Land".
