Dutch cartoonist Hein de Kort brings his signature irreverent wit to this fourth volume of Pardon Lul, collected under the Jonge God banner. The cover sets the tone perfectly: a hapless, wide-eyed little figure complete with halo and cigarette stands perched on a cloud in a heavenly beam of blue light, looking every bit the reluctant deity. It's a charmingly absurdist image that captures de Kort's gift for wringing deadpan comedy out of the cosmic and the mundane.
