Pantha #6

Mark Texeira's painted cover for this 2013 Dynamite finale brings together the series' key players in striking fashion — Pantha herself stands center stage in her signature blue leopard-print outfit, flanked by the snarling visage of a black panther and the looming, unsettled face of an older man. The composition has the feel of a vintage pulp movie poster, with a warm golden halo behind Pantha lending the whole image an almost mythic weight. A satisfying capstone to the run, rendered entirely by Texeira's own hand from pencils to color.
