Marvel's 2015 adaptation of L. Frank Baum's The Emerald City of Oz brings the magic of Oz to life with Skottie Young's cover art depicting a wide-eyed Dorothy in her signature blue dress, clutching a small blue cat as she strolls the yellow brick road toward the gleaming, fantastical spires of the Emerald City. The lush green palette and Young's charming, slightly chibi-influenced style give the whole scene a wonderstruck, storybook warmth that feels both faithful to Baum's vision and distinctly Marvel. With Eric Shanower adapting the source material and Young's linework carrying through to the interior art as well, this is a beautifully cohesive package for fans of Oz in any form.
