The cover of Outpost Zero #5 says a great deal with very little: a lone figure climbs a ladder toward a single shaft of cold blue light cutting through an otherwise pitch-black void, the stark contrast between safety above and darkness below feeling genuinely unsettling. Alexandre Tefenkgi's minimalist composition, with Jean-François Beaulieu's icy blue palette, makes the vast emptiness around that desperate climb feel almost claustrophobic. Sean McKeever's "Singularity" arc continues here, and this fifth installment looks like exactly the right moment for the series to tighten its grip.
