This issue features two Western stories. "Got Gold" tells of Braynee Brawner, a young gunslinger in Minetown, who is approached by railroad president Mr. Kellogg to take charge of protecting a shipment of five million dollars in gold being sent east by train, with promises of substantial payment and a share of the profits. In the second story, "Tumbled Fort," Sag Wheeler and his men attempt to steal a shipment of dynamite from a marshal, planning to use it to blow open a safe, but their scheme is thwarted when the marshal outsmarts them and prevents the robbery.
