An anthology of Western stories featuring "Green Gold," in which a woman with a $5,000 reward on the outlaw Marlowe learns he can be captured dead or alive and plots to kill him instead; a story about a man named Tom Swore who encounters a mountain lion while tracking an outlaw named Slim Crane and must pursue him into the hills; and "Shoot to Kill," involving men ascending a mountain to the Emerald Mine, where they encounter Native Americans and discover mining claims, with complications arising by nightfall when they reach their destination.
