Outlaws #4

Part four of DC's eight-issue miniseries Outlaws: The Legend of the Man Called Hood keeps the tension wound tight. Luke McDonnell's cover drops us into a gritty urban street scene where a woman in a yellow top and red boots struggles in the grip of a heavy-set attacker, while in the background a green-hooded archer, a bare-chested fighter, and a red-haired figure advance to intervene. Michael Jan Friedman's story, titled "The Concubine," promises the kind of street-level drama that made 1991 a fertile moment for DC's grittier corners of the universe.
