The issue contains two stories. "The Grim Avenger" follows a dedicated lawman pursuing justice against outlaws who have terrorized a town. "The Bullet-Brand Bandit" features Jack Fraser, a reformed road agent who was once captured and sentenced to hard labor; years later, he has become a wiser man and uses an obscure bullet-proof suit design as part of his tactical costume in a spectacular career of banditry. The issue also includes a historical dialogue piece titled "The Indian and the White Man," presenting a debate between these perspectives on land, justice, and coexistence.
