Our Gang Comics #37

From Dell's August 1947 lineup comes this cheerful issue of Our Gang Comics, where Tom the cat eyes a large red balloon emblazoned with "Tom and Jerry" while a very pleased Jerry Mouse sits atop what appears to be a cupcake or small cake below — a perfectly mischievous domestic standoff rendered with appealing warmth. A film-strip border down the left side spotlights a lively cast of characters including children and animal pals from the Our Gang world, with the MGM lion presiding from the top corner.
