Our Gang Comics #26
☆ Be the first to review + Add to your collection — Join freeA wonderful slice of mid-1940s kid-adventure energy, this September 1946 Dell issue puts a boy up a tree in a genuinely precarious spot — perched on a branch, reaching toward a nest where two protective crows are clearly not welcoming visitors, while a baseball sits among the eggs as the likely cause of the whole predicament. Two more kids watch nervously from the ground below, and the whole scene has the warm, slightly chaotic charm that made Our Gang Comics such a delight. The cover, rendered by Walt Kelly, captures that perfect blend of tension and humor that defined the series at its best.
