The Losers — Capt. Storm, Johnny Cloud, Gunner, and Sarge — are wanted dead or alive by German High Command, and Joe Kubert's cover makes that threat feel viscerally urgent: the four soldiers charge forward in desperation while Nazi "Wanted" posters bearing their portraits loom overhead. It's a striking setup for "Death Warrant!", with Robert Kanigher writing and George Evans on interior art — a solid creative team delivering WWII action with real stakes. DC's Our Fighting Forces was consistently one of the better war anthology titles of the 1970s, and this October 1977 issue looks like a fine example of why.
