“The Major's Dream”

In "The Major's Dream," Jack Kirby crafts a haunting wartime tale where the Losers are paired with Major Geoffrey Soames, a man haunted by the loss of his regiment. As the team takes shelter beneath the ruins of a Japanese temple, Soames' nightmares spiral into reality, testing the limits of courage under unbearable psychological strain. Kirby’s powerful storytelling, with inks by D. Bruce Berry and colors by Jerry Serpe, brings a deeply personal conflict to life, while Joe Kubert’s cover captures the weight of the moment in stark, evocative detail.
