Joe Kubert's cover art delivers that rare tension of WWII soldiers squaring off against an entirely different breed of danger, teased perfectly by the cover's own question: "Pirates… in W.W.II?" Sam Glanzman handles the full interior on "The Pirate," making this 1972 issue a tight, focused package from a genuinely talented storyteller.
