“Spells & Bindings”

"Spells & Bindings" kicks off a strikingly original journey in Otherworld #1, a 2005 DC series that introduces a world torn between myth and machine. Written and illustrated by Phil Jimenez, with inks by Andy Lanning, colors by Jeromy Cox, and letters by Nick Napolitano, the story follows a group of young people—among them aspiring singer Siobhan Moynihan—snatched from Earth and thrust into a realm where ancient magic clashes with cold, relentless technology. The cover, also by Phil Jimenez, captures the haunting beauty of this divided world, setting the stage for a tale where destiny is as dangerous as it is inevitable.
