Once upon a Time at the End of the World #13

The final issue of Jason Aaron's post-apocalyptic series closes on a haunting note, with Ariel Olivetti's painted cover commanding immediate attention: a weathered, white-haired old man in a worn trench coat raises a rifle with quiet, grim resolve against a backdrop of crumbling ruins bathed in warm, amber light. There's something both weary and unyielding about him — the chapter title "Too Tired to Die" feels written all over his face. It's a fittingly somber, beautifully rendered send-off for one of BOOM! Studios' most ambitious recent series.
