Dan Mora's cover for Once & Future #22 is a gorgeous, fiery maelstrom — an older woman crying out in alarm beside a toppled motorcycle, surrounded on all sides by swarming mythological creatures: glowing, spectral figures looming overhead, winged beings pressing in from below, and dark monstrous forms closing in from every edge. Tamra Bonvillain's amber-and-crimson palette gives the whole scene the feeling of a world literally burning with ancient magic. Kieron Gillen's Arthurian mashup continues to look absolutely relentless in 2021, and this cover makes a compelling case for picking it up.
