Olympia #3

The cover of Olympia #3 plays cleverly with the medium itself — a penciled, rough-sketch figure of a muscular, long-haired man reaches upward toward a brush held by an unseen hand, with a ruler visible at the edge, as if the character is being drawn into existence on the page. It's a visually inventive design from penciler and inker Jason Copland that speaks directly to the series' themes of creation and comics mythology. Written by Curt Pires and Tony Pires, this chapter — "The Ballad of Kirby Spiegelman" — promises a story as thoughtfully crafted as its striking cover.
