When Nyoka guides hunting companions into unexplored South American jungle territory, she warns them of local legends about a witch doctor who uses a secret potion to transform natives into savage human jaguars. Dismissing her story as folklore, the group separates to hunt—but when one companion vanishes and returns hours later, Nyoka discovers the impossible has become terrifyingly real. As the first part of a multi-chapter tale, this sets the stage for Nyoka's fight against an enemy that combines human cunning with jaguar ferocity.
