In "Tarentula ! Pique deux fois !", the masked villain Tarantula strikes twice in one night—first abducting the university's Vice Chancellor Lansky, then attempting to assassinate the mayor of New York. Spider-Man arrives in time to stop the murder, but Tarantula vanishes before he can be captured, leaving the city on edge and the web-slinger determined to track him down.
