The twelfth and final chapter of WildStorm's Ninja Scroll arrives with a cover that pulls no punches — a battle-scarred warrior stares out from behind crossed blades, a fresh cut on his cheek and an expression that carries the full weight of what "Obakemono" (monster/ghost creature) promises. The cool blue luminescence of those swords casts an eerie glow across the painterly cover art by Michael Chang Ting Yu, giving the whole image a tense, otherworldly atmosphere perfectly suited to this world of ninja and supernatural peril. Written by J. Torres with artwork throughout by Michael Chang Ting Yu, this 2007 WildStorm series goes out on a note that feels as sharp and charged as the blades on that cover.
