The finale of "Nightwing Year One" arrives in this May 2005 issue, and Scott McDaniel and Andy Owens make the most of it — their cover shows Dick Grayson in his blue-and-black costume lunging forward with fierce determination, grappling hand-to-hand with a snarling green monster amid a chaotic scatter of what appear to be small toys or figures. The tagline "...To the Death!" sets the stakes for this sixth and final chapter of the arc, written by Chuck Dixon and Scott Beatty. It's a satisfying capstone to the series, with a cover that pulses with kinetic energy right off the rack.
