Mark Millar and Juanan Ramírez's vampire series builds toward something seriously unsettling in this fifth issue, and Ben Templesmith's cover makes that crystal clear. A towering, blood-soaked vampiric figure looms at the center, arms outstretched and hair matted with crimson, while bats swarm the blood-red sky around it — and in the foreground, a fierce bearded man on a motorcycle anchors the scene alongside three grim-faced figures behind him. It's a striking collision of street-level grit and supernatural dread that makes this 2023 Image series feel like essential reading.
