New Suicide Squad #11

New Suicide Squad #11 from October 2015 puts an armored figure front and center — a helmeted, mechanized combatant clinging to an industrial structure while an explosive burst erupts nearby, sending spent shell casings tumbling toward the viewer in a striking low-angle composition. Juan Ferreyra's cover bathes the whole scene in a tense red-and-yellow palette that gives the industrial scaffolding around the figure an almost hellish quality. With Sean Ryan writing and Philippe Briones on interior art, "Monsters" looks like a chapter of Task Force X operating right at the edge of chaos — and enjoying every dangerous second of it.
