A massive, American-flag-faced monster dominates this cover as the New Avengers — including a bow-wielding Hawkeye and several teammates — charge forward across "Avengers Crime Scene" tape to face the threat head-on. The cover bluntly announces the menace with its "Run! It's American Kaiju!" banner, and Leinil Francis Yu's linework captures both the creature's city-smashing scale and the team's undaunted momentum beautifully. Al Ewing and Marcus To's 2016 series continues to deliver imaginative threats, and Case No. 009 looks like a thoroughly entertaining clash between human-sized heroes and something very, very large.
