From Image Comics, Nailbiter #28 delivers the unsettling small-town horror the series does so well. The cover shows a blonde man gnawing at his bloodied fingers in the foreground, while a sinister ensemble looms behind him — a top-hatted figure, a heavyset man in goggles clutching popcorn, a scarred and menacing brute, a smiling young man, and a glamorous woman, all rendered in a striking blood-red palette against a darkened Buckaroo skyline. Williamson and Henderson, with Guzowski, Hill, and Levin rounding out the creative team, have crafted a cover that perfectly captures the series' creepy, character-driven dread.
