Mystique & Sabretooth #3

Issue three of this 1997 limited series puts Marvel's two most dangerously unpredictable mutants front and center, and the cover by Ariel Olivetti and Pier Brito makes the most of that pairing. A towering, feral Sabretooth looms over a defeated figure at his feet while the blue-skinned Mystique stands behind him, armed and wreathed in a curl of smoke, both of them radiating the coiled menace the tagline "The Collars Are Off!" promises. With González, Olivetti, and Brito all on board, this penultimate chapter of two villains "on the run" has plenty of firepower to spare.
