Mystique #11
Marvel's shape-shifting super-spy takes center stage in this moody, beautifully rendered 2004 cover by Mike Mayhew — Mystique herself, blue-skinned and red-haired, gazes upward with cool confidence, a handgun held at her side in a posture that radiates dangerous elegance. "Maker's Mark Part One" kicks off a two-part arc from writer Brian K. Vaughan and artist Manuel García, a creative team that brings real sophistication to Raven Darkhölme's shadowy world of espionage and deception.

While out for some coffee, Forge and Mystique respond to the report of a mutant child kidnapped by his stepfather. The kid, however, turns out to be a telepath who can control the minds of men and he commands Forge to attack Mystique so he won't have to return home to his mother.
