Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Comic #2
In "Black Cat and Jonah," Amos Hatter takes on the daunting task of caring for his younger brother, Joseph, a brilliant but unstable scientist. When Joseph's latest experiment backfires and shrinks him to mouse size, the siblings' fragile bond is tested—especially after a tragic accident leaves Amos dead and Joseph stranded in a world where every shadow could be a threat. With a mix of tension and dark humor, writer Joel Hodgson and the team bring this unsettling, character-driven tale to life, illustrated with striking precision by Jack Pollock. The cover by Todd Nauck captures the story’s eerie, high-stakes atmosphere.

Amos Hatter has to take care of his younger scientist brother, Joseph. The mentally deranged Joseph experiments with a growing formula, but finds the opposite and shrinks himself down to mouse size. Amos helps him to regain his normal size, but is murdered by Joseph out of fear to be submitted to a mental institution. The drug wears off, however, and small-sized Joseph has to face a cat and a rat hunting him.
