Marvel's 2011 limited series continues with this third chapter, featuring a striking Patrick Zircher cover that places two figures against a blazing orange backdrop — a caped hero gripping a sword in the foreground, and a menacing bandage-wrapped figure looming behind him, syringe in hand. The tension between those two silhouettes promises the kind of pulp-era danger that makes this Depression-age superhero story feel genuinely thrilling. David Liss and Zircher are building something with real atmosphere here, and issue three is where that tension clearly comes to a head.
