Mystery in Space #79

This November 1962 DC gem spotlights Adam Strange in a double-length thriller, "The Metal Conqueror of Rann!" — and the cover by Carmine Infantino and Murphy Anderson sets the stakes beautifully. Strange, in his signature red-and-white costume, recoils from a crackling energy surge while a towering stone statue bearing his likeness is struck by lightning bolts, his exclamation making clear that whatever hits the statue, he feels too.
