“A Liar in Love!”

In "A Liar in Love!", a young woman’s decision to pursue a career over marriage sparks a heartfelt conversation with the formidable Mrs. Dulcimer, the elderly publisher who once championed women’s rights as a "Bloomer girl" before embracing traditional roles. Through her surprising story, Mrs. Dulcimer offers a quiet but powerful perspective on love, change, and the subtle ways women can shape their worlds. Paul Cooper’s expressive art brings the emotional depth to life, while Ken Bald’s striking cover captures the story’s poignant tension.

A young woman breaks up with her fiancé Ted because he insists she become a housewife and she wants a career. Applying for a newspaper job, the young woman meets Mrs. Dulcimer, the elderly publisher. Mrs. Dulcimer tells the story of her youth, when she was a "Bloomer girl" crusading for women's rights, until she married Whitney. Mrs. Dulcimer says a woman should be a good wife first, and can then change her husband's mind about women having a career.
