My Own Romance #9
In "Did I Love a Criminal?", nurse Myra finds herself caught between two men during WWII—military aviator Dan and Joe, the man she agrees to marry. Four years later, as a flight attendant, she reunites with Dan when he’s now a civilian pilot, leading her to a military hospital where Joe, miraculously alive, reveals the truth. A poignant tale of love, war, and second chances, drawn with emotional depth by Mike Sekowsky.

During WWII, nurse Myra is courted by military aviators Dan and Joe; she agrees to marry Joe, but really loves Dan. Joe finds out, flies off on a dangerous mission, and doesn’t return. 4 years later, Myra is a flight attendant assigned to the aircraft flown by Dan, now a civilian pilot. Dan takes Myra to a military hospital to see Joe, who survived. Joe says he realised Myra didn’t love him, and he was legitimately shot down -- he didn’t have a death wish due to Myra's rejection. He wishes Dan and Myra happiness.
