Sally had a crush on Greg all through high school, but he only had eyes for wealthy Hedy. However, when Greg graduates from college, Hedy marries playwright Vance. Greg falls in love with Sally and they wed, but Greg continues to follow the life and career of Hedy, now an actress. This infuriates Sally, and she forces him to confront the now-divorced Hedy and choose between them. Greg tells Sally he never loved Hedy and is happy with the wife he has.
